Breakfast Club
At Horton Kirby, we offer good quality before-school childcare in the breakfast club delivered by West Hill Life Ltd. We provide a nutritious and healthy breakfast which will prepare your children for their school day. Our programme of activities is varied and challenging, making sure that all play opportunities are offered at every session. We follow a structured routine to accommodate the environment it is in and the needs of the children. Each child can choose freely what they want to do and are invited to join in activities, including board games and arts & craft, which at all times adhere to both equal opportunities and health and safety.
Our breakfast club is delivered by qualified accredited staff who are DBS checked, safeguarding and first aid trained.
Timings
Breakfast Club is open every weekday during term time, excluding Staff Development Days, from 07:30 to 08:50. Your children can be dropped off at any time between these times and the Breakfast Club staff will then take them to their classroom at the end of the session. If your child wishes to have breakfast at the club, they must be in school by 08:00. Parents/Carers are responsible for signing their children into Breakfast Club each time they attend.
Pricing
Breakfast Club has a fixed daily cost of £5.50 per day, which includes a breakfast of cereals, fruit and a variety of bread including bagels, crumpets and waffles. The cost does not change depending on the time your children arrive.

After School Club
After School Club at Horton Kirby aims to provide a friendly, safe environment for children, with a wide range of activities both inside and outside depending on the weather. This is run by West Hill Life Ltd. Children will also be given support with their reading, as well as support with homework through fun and engaging games and puzzles.
For children staying until 18:00, a healthy, nutritious home cooker supper including a variety of fruit, vegetables and salad will be provided, such as wraps, jacket potatoes or pasta. Any special dietary needs are catered for and the menu has been designed to complement the midday school meal with healthy eating. West Hill Life has achieved the highest hygiene rating of 5 from the Environmental Health Agency.
At the After School Club, we provide a friendly, safe environment for the children to have fun with various activities of the children’s choice. We aim to ensure every child’s needs are met from finishing their school day right up to being collected by their parent or carer within the safe and familiar surroundings of their own school and without the need to be transported elsewhere. We also have further extra-curricular activities available.
Timings
After School Club at Horton Kirby runs every weekday during term time, excluding Staff Development Days, from 15:15 to 18:00. Children will be taken by staff from their classrooms to the Club at the end of the school day. Children can be collected from the After School Club at any time.
