Horton Kirby Celebrates World Book Day 2024
To celebrate World Book Day, we came dressed as our favourite book characters and shared our favourite stories.
We were very lucky to have Sam Gayton, a children’s author visit us. He did a whole school assembly where we learnt about his life and he gave us advice on writing stories.
We then did workshops with him in classes where we learnt to come up with our own characters and stories.
We also had a potato decorating competition. We decorated potatoes at home of our favourite book characters. Winners were picked from across the school that won book vouchers!
