Highly Commended Design to Mark British Science Week!
For British Science Week this year, all pupils took part in an exciting competition. Their task was to answer the question, ‘If I was an engineer what would I do?’. We the had a virtual interview with Oliver Joris, an engineer for Ford. We were able to ask him questions and find out what it would be like to be an engineer.
Following this, our aspiring engineers created a design for their idea and wrote a letter describing who it would help and how.
Our entries have all now been graded and we are very pleased to announce that one of our pupils designs was graded Highly Commended. This is a fantastic achievement as 10’s of thousands of pupils submitted into the competition, all of which were graded by engineers. We will be attending an award ceremony at Canterbury Christ Church University where we will be presented with a framed certificate and a badge by VIP guests.
